大漁旗 ／ BIG CATCH FLAG

大漁旗は大漁を祝って、

漁船が帰港する時に揚げた旗です。

陸からもその派手やかな色はさぞかし目立って

待つ人々は大漁の魚を迎える準備に

心躍ったことでしょう。

そんな活気を味わったことがなくても、

大漁旗からは元気を一杯いただきます。

This derives from those boat flags used by the old Japanese fishermen to signal to

their loved ones that they had a great catch.

Cheerful designs and their boat-names are dyed.

Bold colors were eyegrabbing among the most

powerful waves, and portraying a dominating

presence that stood against the strongest winds.
