幟 節供 ／ Flag for Boy's Festival

This was a part of the boys' festival flag with the kamon (Japanese crest) called "Four Squared Eyes

at the Corner in the Circle."

This pattern was also called "Meyui" which was

designed from Kanoko-Shibori, a type of dye technique.

Kamons are simply designed and still have

appeals for today.

It would be one of Japanese culture

we are proud to the world.

  節句の幟です。

「丸に隅立て四つ目」と呼ばれる

 家紋の部分を使いました。

「目結」（めゆい）ともいい、鹿子絞りを

 図案化した紋のようです。家紋はどれも

 無駄がなくシンプルにデザインされていて

 現代でも通用する感覚です。

 世界に誇れる日本の文化の一つでしょう。
