紫地に黄の縁取りも鮮やかですがまん中の

クリスマスのようなリースが可愛いくて意外です。

'Tairyo-bata' is the flag used to celebrate a big fishing catch.

Dated from 1957, this flag was probably made for celebrating a big catch

at the Tosa Shimizu fishing port.

This is a happy flag with the vivid purple background bordered by yellow

and the surprisingly lovely Christmas-like wreath in the centre.
